Intel 32nm Sandy Bridge appears in Q4 of 2010

When 45nm Nehalem series is popular,32nm Westmere family has not made a formal debut.Intel nex-gen processor has been listed on the release agenda.According to PC makers,Intel plans to launch 32nm Sandy Bridge microarchitecture in Q4 of 2010.


45nm Nehalem quad-core Lynnfield Core i7/i5 will officially released in early September with 5 series chipset P55.P57,H57 is expected to arrive in Q1 of 2010.


32nm Westmere series is set to mass production in Q4 of 2009.Desktop dual-core Clarkdale(Core i3/Pentium) and notebook Arrandale will ship in Q1 of 2010.Desktop six-core CPU will is to debut on Q2.


As the highest-end desktop processor,Gulftwon CPUs is priced at US$1,499.


45nm Nehalem and 32nm Westmere families will coexist before the release of Sandy Bridge.That is to say,quad-core Westmere CPUs wontt appear.Two families are in charge of quad-core and dual-core fields.


32 nm Sandy Bridge four core mode has been taped out in early June this year.It integrates memory controller,GPU and Northbridge module clocked at 3.0-3.8GHz.Coming with 8MB of L3 cache,it has a TDP of 85W.
